In japan it aired as the samed period of the overwelming successful Ashita no Joe 2 blockbuster and paled the comparission.

In France, the first episodes were dubbed, compiled and published in a VHS (almost nobody bought it, few rented it) in the early/mid-80's.
The series was finally fully broadcasted once in 88 (on a paying network, Canal +, which made its fame with football and adult movies, so it bombed), probably with a new dubbing. It never hit the screen again.
