Kane Tanaka’s life was a masterclass in resilience, spanning over a century of radical global transformation.

Even after surviving several bouts of cancer and living through the COVID-19 pandemic, she never lost her appetite for life, famously citing chocolate and Coca-Cola as her favorite "treats."
When she passed away on April 19, 2022, at the age of 119 years and 107 days, she held the title of the second-oldest verified person in history, leaving behind a legacy that stretched from the Wright brothers' first flight to the age of space tourism.
